The History of Ruud

Ruud’s history can be traced back to more than 100 years when Edwin Ruud, a mechanical engineer landed in America and built the first ever successful automatic water heater. That achievement laid the foundation for innovating a range of heating and air conditioning solutions in the 1950s. Frank Wood and Son Plumbing has been selling, repairing, replacing and installing Ruud Water Heaters since it began back in 1960.
